Hi I'm always had problems with my handd but they have been getting worse and worse lately. Im not 100% it's the RA that's causing it to get worse. I'm having numbness and pain on the tips and sides of my fingers. The fingertips swell up and stretches the skin and get yellow/white areas over them. The skin on my little finger split a few weeks ago because the skin was so tight. I don't know if this is something to see the gp about or rheumy. Does any one have these kind of problems with RA. it's all so depressing ...

RA related or something else?
Go see your GP first, but may well also need to see rheumy. As you know we can't give medical advice, and you need a doctor to diagnose you properly but sounds as if it could be Raynaud's. People with RA and other auto-immune diseases often get secondary Raynauds. Best to get it checked out to make sure, as could also be circulation.
My fingers often look like yours in this photo and feel the way you describe. In my case it’s mild Raynaud’s secondary to severe small fibre neuropathy from Sjögren’s. I was initially diagnosed with RA but it’s been on a bit of a journey. My finger tips are largely numb now typing accurately is a thing of the past. If Raynaud’s feels like a possibility then it might be worth joining the Scleroderma and Raynaud’s community too.
See your dr and speak to your rheumy to make sure.xxxx
