It was only just over a fortnight for me, that included the Christmas holidays so it was a nice surpise to hear so soon, but that was 3 years ago & it does vary according to the agent sending the report & the DWP's backlog I'm afraid. I hope you receive what you need, do let us know. x

Hello... it was around 6 weeks for me, from memory and I live in Wales. I hope you are successful. It felt like it took over my life going through it, but it all was worth it in the end for me, as I received what I deserved. I think it’s nice to hear the positive stories so fingers crossed for you (not literally 🤞) 😊

I also live in Wales. I had a PIP reassessment last thursday, which I don't think went to well BTW, and was told 6 - 8 weeks but am hoping it will be a bit quicker than that. Which part of Wales do you live?

I do hope you're wrong wishy that it just felt that way to you & you receive at least what you've been on.

I hope so to heelsy. It got off to a bad start when we were driving around the city centre trying to find the darned place, which believe me wasn't easy if your not familiar with the area. We arrived 10 minutes late along with another couple who were also late for the same reason as us. I was really stressed and having to go straight in to the assessment did nothing to help me relax any that's for sure. The assessment was much more formal than the last one I had at home, which although thorough, was more relaxed with the assessor seeming like one of the boys so to speak. I had a female assessor this time who was nice enough, but more regimental making me feel that I was getting a bit of a grilling on times and had committed some sort of crime. Think I had a bit of brain fog on a couple of questions as well and should have elaborated more instead of giving little more than a yes or no answer so to speak. Another thing I wasn't happy with was that although she asked how often I was having bad flares, she seemed to gloss over them (for want of a better term) and concentrate more on my general condition. One of the first things my previous assessor said when he arrived was I want to now how you fare on your worst days, which is how it should be. I planned on showing how badly deformed my feet are but somehow didn't get around to that either. Hope I'm wrong and am being too much of a pessimist, but I can't help feeling that things didn't go that great.

Prior to the assessment...I'm not sure I did myself any favours when I filled in the reassessment form stating that my condition had worsened. Maybe I'd have been better of lying and saying that there was no change in my condition. I certainly didn't do this in the hope of increasing the low PIP rate I currently receive and am happy with. Would have done so a couple of years ago when I went downhill if that was the case.

You just watch, after all this negativity I'll be proved wrong and end up being granted a higher rate of PIP................................. :-)

Oh I hope so, you really never do know. I don't know how many times I've thought negatively about something only for it to turn out absolutely fine.

You know something, you saying about not being able to find the Assessment Centre if you're not familiar with the area, we did a dummy run (which we did because we weren't familiar with the area & needed to time the travelling as it was at rush hour & had no idea how long it would take us), had I not been with my h I wouldn't have had a clue. After the assessment on the way home it caused me to think how I reponded to the last part of the form that asks something like can you follow a familiar route or find your way to an unfamiliar place. I should have really thought about it because I answered I could when I actually couldn't. The really annoying thing was I was short just 2 points to qualify for standard on that section, that would have done it.

Maybe your assessor had a particular way of assessing, that or the difference between a home assessment & one at an Assessment Centre, it was never going to feel the same. I do believe it can done down who you get though, it's so hit & miss.

Let us know when you find out & fingers crossed you're happy with the result.

We also had to travel during the rush hour, but left home in plenty of time and stopped for coffee fairly close to the assessment centre as we had time to kill. My grandson was driving and reckoned he knew exactly where to go... he ended up dropping us off at the wrong building before driving off to find a garage for petrol. My daughter tried to phone him only to find that her phone had just conked out...talk about sods law! Luckily a receptionist was kind enough to contact him with her phone. No wonder I was so bl***y stressed. :-0

It's difficult not to think negatively about the particular way of this assessor compared to the easy going manner of the previous one, but even taking this into account I still don't think things went to well. Just hope I'm proved wrong.

Will let you know the outcome.

I think anyone would have been stressed with all that & then the assessment so I can understand how you felt. Let's hope it all went better than you thought & you receive good news in a few weeks.

It was about 2 to 3 weeks for me.

Their guideline is 4-6 weeks.

But I had mine recently and expected to hear from Dec 28th, or into next year; got letter yesterday!

Payment made on Friday already!

So, could be quick..

For me, it took about 3 weeks.

After F2F assessment you can telephone (number on your appointment letter) and ask for a copy of your medical assessment. Mine took 2-3 days to arrive. From this you should be able to calculate how many points you have been awarded, although the DWP Decision Maker's letter will have the final outcome. Saves waiting for weeks wondering.

2 weeks, I'm in North Wales. Some places are quicker than others, I was getting ready to request my report & the award came through! Apparently they are aiming to complete all assessments by early next year, mind you, they were supposed to complete the whole country by December, of course, they are behind. Good luck, I thought I had no chance, being a walking wounded, because I am mobile, albeit with a struggle & I told them I wasn't a wheelchair user all the time, I would have been awarded on evidence alone, they needed to see how I managed, as long as you sent loads of evidence, you should be fine.
