Hi, I haven't posted before. I was diagnosed in May and currently on methotrexate which has worked a treat on my pain and swelling but I am currently suffering with tiredness. I work shifts and my days off are currently spent recovering so that I can go to work! I have been back at work for a couple of months but have only just started my 12 hour days (only do 2 per week). Will the tiredness subside or am I kidding myself? I am now tired of feeling tired. Thank you for listening.

Kittykaos,
As soon as I seeanyone posting about tiredness and fatigue it reminds me of my early stages when I was severely anaemic and felt very sleepy most of the time. As soon as the biological started to work my anaemia cleared and my fatigue improved. The rheumatology nurse said this was common in patients with RA.
HTH?
I was on methotrexate for two years when the tiredness and nausea started came off the drug and started on Leflunomide. Was fine for another two years but between fatigue and night sweats and feeling terrible have stopped taking it. Will have to contact rheumatologist as joints will start to get worse as the weather gets colder. It's good to chat with other people tho.
Hello, I was on Methotrexate from March until 3 weeks ago when I switched over to the biological benepali, my tiredness from the Monday when I injected it until the Wednesday never went. And I only realise how bad it was since being on the biological for the last 3 weeks and I don't seem to have any tiredness from that at all, it's amazing. The Methotrexate used to wipe me out. I wish you luck on this journey x
