Pneumonia please oh please go away..........

I have just been to the drs again and this chest hasn't gone away. I went to the drs on Friday evening and he put me on steroids to help my lungs and let slip that i have pneumonia. I had such a rough weekend and felt so ill i phoned the drs this morning to see if i can see a dr today. I got in this afternoon and she sounded my chest out and she said your rattling badly. She gave me a stronger antibiotic which i have to take two tonight and then one a day until they are finished. If i don't recover with these drugs,it means a chest x-ray and another sputem test. I wish i could just feel well. xxxxx

Good Lord please remove this horrid pneumonia from my friends lungs and restore to her good health! Amen!

My mom uses eucalyptus oil to steam up in the shower and on a hanky to sniff! For the shower she takes a wash cloth and puts some of the oil in the center then sits it on the ledge of the tub whilst she showers! It opens the sinuses and thins any mucus in them and lungs!!! Vicks vapor rub for babies also has it instead of mentholatum!

I use the oils too for my stuffed up sinuses. On a hankie between my pillows. It makes for much more peaceful night's sleep. I have several essential oils and eucalyptus and frankinsence are my faves. We have one of those inhaler mugs with a nose cone thingy so you can sit with it raised to your face and not have to bend over a bowl with a towel over your head. I must try using the oil in the shower too. I also have a little plug in diffuser which disperses microscopic amounts of the essential oils (Aennon is the brand) but no water involved, so you get the pure oil but a really micro fine mist every so often during the night. I tend to use that over the winter.

The inhaling mugs are about £5 from Amazon. Worth it indeed. The Aennon essential oils diffuser I got for half price at £45 but it's such a clean and easy to use little thing I wanted it as opposed to a big water and oil mister/humidifier. Some are quite large and heavy. I've not the room for anything large either on my bedside table.

Oh nooooo , so sorry to hear your still not getting better , I know this is going to sound really stupid but go and buy yourself a facial steamer . I add a couple of drops of albums oil to the water and then just sit and inhale the vapour , it loosens all the mucus and makes it easier for you to cough it up . All the best , sending lots of hugs and best wishes xxx

Sylvi,,,,,,in a word REST!!!

No anti biotic will help if you don't give it a chance by rushing around.

My friend soldiered on like you last Christmas & ended up as an emergency admittance to hospital on Boxing Day & was hospitalised for 8 weeks, & is still not 100%.

You just need to conserve your energy to get stronger.

Wish you better!
