Bloodshot eyes

Awful day yesterday swelling and pain, right hand mainly, this morning woken up with bloodshot eye!!

It's very important with ra to see optician or eye casualty if you get " red eye" and with blurred vision.

RA can affect eyes and you get inflammation of the iris , iritis.

You may just have something like conjunctivitis or hayfever but the symptoms of iritis are very similar so it's important to go for a check up asap.

Allanah is right, you need to follow this up and get appropriate advice. For me a red eye led eventually to a confirmed diagnosis of Sjorgrens syndrome, and I have regular opthalmogy appointments to check on the on going health of my eyes. Plus other complications!!!

Your eyes are too precious to leave to chance, so off to your GPS, or if in Scotland, your optician. M x

Oops...yes get that looked at. I got iritis as part of a flare up of...well everything!
