Tofacitinib feedback please!

Hi! I'm a long time sufferer, first time poster!

I have tried numerous Biologics over the past few years, with varying degrees of success/failure.

Currently "just" taking Methotrexate, Sulfasalazine,Hydroxychloroquine, Naproxen and Prednisolone.

My rheumatologist has now suggested I drop the Sulfasalazine and start taking this relatively new drug: Tofacitinib.

Has anyone who has tried this jak inhibitor got any feedback about it please?

My sister goes to Geneva university Hospital and has been on this for six years now as part of a trial. She has done well from the point of view of joint inflammation, but it has (possibly) caused some problems with arteriosclerosis and raised cholesterol, although she might have got that anyway

Try searching for Xeljanz too, some use the brand name rather than the generic drug name tofacitinib. Being newly approve by NICE there's not an awful lot here on it but you might find the odd one. The 'Search NRAS' is box top right.

I too am waiting to start this drug so would also be interested on other people's experience xx
