I was so fed up with stronger and stronger meds, injections etc that when I heard about CBD (this is NOT "weed" as the THC which makes you high is removed leaving just the medicinal effects) I started researching it........There are lots of helpful sites on Facebook. ....You MUST buy from a recommended supplier, there are several and it takes a while to find the right one (though some people are lucky first time) but after 8 weeks my chronic back pain is virtually gone!
LOADS OF PEOPLE WITH RA swear by it.
Some doctors are showing interest but neither mine or my back consultant are interested (the drug companies don't want to lose revenue and the consultants their ludicrous charges), so I'm with the help of others, doing it my own way.

Hi Roz I am suffering from horrible pain from my neck to my left fingers even tho I am on humira. I don't want to take steroids again....
I have heard lots about cbd oil - can I ask how u use it? Also could you poss recommend a good uk supplier as I haven't a clue which one to use and don't want to waste money on stuff that doesn't work!!
Hope that's ok , also just to let anyone know who reading this I have been using heat patches during the night which have helped a lot with morning pain and stiffness .
It's a full plant decarboxylated extract. That means it's been heated to activate the acid of the oils. Heating - like smoking da herb - or heating to around 110c breaks the carbon from the molecule so making the molecule active. THC is THCA before it's active and so for other compounds in the oil.
There is benefit to be obtained without decarboxylation so both forms are good. Drop some under your tongue, leave a minute or so and swallow. Tastes to me like fresh lawn clippings might.
I think cannabis deserves a lot more attention than it gets at the moment.
I use the one in the link of my previous post. As it's whole plant there is some chlorophyll in the mix but I prefer that.
You shake it up and clear the pipette by squeezing it - or else you end up with a pipette full of un shaken mixture. Load up the pipette with about a half inch of solution, lift your tongue to the roof of your mouth and position the end of the tip under your tongue. Gently squeeze the bulb so a drop or two falls under your tongue. Hold it in your mouth for a time - I try for as long as possible - before swallowing.
Another poster has recommended CBD Brothers and they look pukka too. Good luck!

Hi i get mine from CBD brothers, on line, and i would recommend it to anyone, i have cut out my painkillers and patches, there is the odd time that i might need a painkiller, but few and far between.
I would love to get to that stage where I don't need painkillers!!! Which product do you use? Are the more expensive ones better? I would get anything that helps with this pain 🙁
Hi Phoo2, i use CBD oil the blue one which i order on line from CBD brothers, its not one of the cheap ones but it is legal and works, please go on line and read the reviews then you can decide. x
Have had cervical and thoracic MRIs.....I have scoliosis, osteoarthritis and facet joint disorder and as I said after years of treatment nothing previously helped, but thanks.
My first suggestion would be to look at the Facebook site CBD CONSUMERS UK/EU. Apart from all the helpful people they have lots of files attached for specific conditions etc. and you can keep asking questions.
It is a bit complicated as there are oils and pastes. Some relax you and some uplift. But everyone reacts differently.
I started with Love Bros Entourage 800 which is a spray you hold under your tongue then swallow. It certainly helped but after a while I read that CBD Brothers GREEN paste is really good for pain but "enlivens" so I now take that morning and lunchtime and their purple which relaxes and helps pain in the evening as I suffer with anxiety and insomnia.
Their are several other recommended companies and products but if you can'take access the Facebook site I can tell you more but it will only be about my personal experience.

Also I would love to hear your personal experience with cbd oil , pastes and whatever else you have tried. I think to hear it from people who have ra / chronic pain is more relevant than say epilepsy etc. So if you have the time please share! I live in London but am currently on holiday in Finland and have been flaring ever since I got here. Typical!!! X
