I think I over did it?

Hey everyone, so last week was the first week I felt as normal as possible on week 5 of my Methotrexate (yep I was the one that forgot to take my folic acid on Thursday. I have now set an alarm to remind me so thank you!). Anyway, Friday I had so much energy I cleaned the house and then on Saturday cooked dinner for 7 people. Felt fine on the day apart from some bursts of dizziness now and then. but since Sunday morning I have been so so sick. No physical vomiting but literally on the verge all day and all night. Didn't manage to go into work today either which is not like me at all. I feel so weak. My stomach is also really painful along with the nausea. Do you think I over did it? Or could this just be a virus I picked up? Some days I honestly just feel like giving up on the methotrexate..I am meant to take my next dose tomorrow and now I am anxious about it...

Yes, I think you did! Have a quiet day tomorrow and see how you feel about taking your MTX at the end of the day. You might be fine after a night's sleep.

Yes. I think you did do too much, Wonderwoman! The bursts of dizziness are telling, they could also be the cause of your nausea. Learn from this, it's how most of us oldies learnt, you have to try to know otherwise how do you know your limitations? Be kind to yourself for a few days & things should settle.

Im so glad you're feeling much better generally. I had a similar thing with nausea and stomach pain and it turned out it was some kind of virus possibly norovirus . The whole family had it in some form or another . Because of Mxt it took around 5 days to go but it's fine now. Hope it is for you too.
