Cannot sleep 😴

This sucks! I have always had issues with insomnia but now it seems a cruel twist of fate. I get to enjoy every possible moment . It may seem silly but I find the best way to cope with pain is to keep your mind off of it. Distract yourself, dress up. If you look good , you will feel better. Children deal with pain much better than adults because they are so easily distracted. I write or research if it is at night and try to go out in the day. Admittedly not so easy at times, I am left with little choice. Try whatever it takes to make you laugh. The release of dopamine is great and truly works for chronic pain. Acute pain is perhaps more challenging but when the treatments (drugs) make you feel even worse that is all there is. Being Canadian I also have Cannabis. The problem is cost. I am on permanent disability. Who can afford it ? So biofeedback here I come lol

I sure would like to know what I did in a previous life to merit this one ☝️

Just kidding but seriously laughter truly does provide the best pain relief. Pain is mind over matter, you do not mind , it will not matter. I am not trying to be flip. I have OA, RD, Fibromialgia, degenerative disks Ext Migraines..are so extreme at times that nothing compares. I guess you can say I have years of experience. I think you just become numb to it. I also worked fourteen hours a day in an effort to distract myself. That was not the best strategy 😂I would drive to my shop , pull over to vomit , often requiring a change of clothing and off to work. Ridiculous now that I look back. However I had a pet supply store. I love dogs and truly enjoyed working with customers. I feel that giving into this thing has been my downfall. I am beginning to think I was better off without a diagnoses. I am not so sure I can survive the "treatments".

Insomnia sucks big style. I don't have any answers, just sympathy!

Do you have a dog now? Or other pets? They would be good company for those sleepless nights right!

Oh magnesium citrate supplements help with insomnia, they call it natures valium, as it relaxes ones muscles if taken before bed. Check with Doc before starting anything new ay!
