Ill health retirement

Thank you all for your replies a few months ago. I received a letter 20 7 17 to say I have been awarded tier 2 ill health retirement from the NHS. Still no idea how much I will get or when. My contract was terminated on 31st July. I have to fill in forms for ESA which I didn't know about and is a worry.

What I wanted to say was thanks for your comments especially helix. Everything you said is happening. I can manage on less money. Health wise so much better I can plan and pace much better. Been going to aqua aerobics which is helping. Can cook home made meals which is a lot healthier . Subsequently lost 1 and and half stone. Wouldn't have been to do any of this while at work.

Went on summer holiday and had a good time. Last holiday in Jan I was exhausted just with travelling and trying to unpack.

Got details of a voluntary organisation therapy dogs. I am going to look into this for the near future. Have the perfect dog to do this with. It involves going into schools hospitals homes etc a bit like PAT dogs.

The future is bright !

Thank you

Thank you. He is such a softy and a mummies boy. This was taken at a fun dog show in the fancy dress class. He won several prizes yesterday one for best trick. He plays cards. Also taught him to take my socks off.

It took me a while to fathom out putting a photo on.

Take care

Love the pic, totally gorgeous. I'm in love. 😍

Things sound really positive for you and I'm pleased to hear that. Sometimes the big changes are scary but bring about the best things in our lives. Long may it continue and I wish you all the best.

Thank you that's very kind. It is a relief not to have to struggle at work anymore. Part of me feels guilty and a bit lazy only 54. But worked since 16 in NHS so I suppose done my fair share.

Keegan is a darling very affectionate but has his moments like rolling in cow pays: ) .

Thank you

Hiya J! I'm so pleased for you. I know you'll have fretted about all this & to be honest I didn't recall the post you mention but I wouldn't have been of any help, no experience so I probably swept past it. Now at least you can concentrate on you & N without he hassle you've had for so long.

I think your intentions of working with therapy dogs is an excellent one, just your cup of tea & something I'm considering doing with Annie, she's such a sociable dog, so gentle & loves being loved so maybe. Hey, that reminds me, I meant to message you, this year's Crufts winner, their kennels are down the road from us! I was so pleased for them. Just look at your handsome chap! You don't mention your other passion, are you still with Wednesday?

I'm pleased you had a good holiday. Where did you get to? Speak soon. x

Thank you it's been rough st work so right decision. It was a worry and tbh still do not know how much I will have or when I will get my first payment. Just know it was the right decision. Have to apply for esa so my stamp for state pension gets paid. Didn't realise I had to do this. Filling in a work capability questionnaire now.

Wow that's good about the crafts winner. It's great when normal dog lovers win. We went on terrier day this year so we met up with Keegan breeder and Totties. Her daughter was in best in show with her Scottie.

First game tomorrow at Wednesday since early Jan will have to see how it goes.

Looking forward to hopefully do the voluntary work for the therapy dogs. Going to contact them soon. They also go into schools so children that have educational needs can read to them. The lady said you can do as much and little as you want. It is a national organisation. Hope your two are doing well. Our Tottie was 15 a couple of weeks ago.

We went to the Isle of Wight again, it is really dog friendly. We went during the really hot spell so was brilliant like being abroad. They let us upgrade with the dogs and had a detached chalet with a hot tub. The dogs had a paddling pool on our decking.

Good to hear from you, hope hubby is doing well.

Bye for now x

I'm tickled pink for you. We have acheived synchronicity! Suki is being groomed today, despite the rain, 'cos she looks like a yak. Hugs
