Cheers!

I have been on methotrexate since January of this year and didn't respond to it. So I'm changing to a half dose of methotrexate and adding Enbrel. I haven't had alcohol since I started on methotrexate because of the chance of liver damage. So it may seem silly, but I'm very excited to be able to have a glass of wine with dinner when we go out with friends Friday night! I am not a heavy drinker and never have been, but I have missed the freedom of the occasions/rare glass of wine. It's a small thing, but I'm glad to have fewer negative consequences of the meds. Now let's cross our fingers the Enbrel works beautifully for me! 🤞

Hi Sophie, What has your dose been reduced to? I take 10 mg per week and have to admit to a sly little drink now and again anyway. As long as I don`t abuse it my blood tests have been fine so far. Take care xx

I can't recall the amount. It's half of what I was on before. It doesn't make me tired or feel "hungover" like the full dose did. I'm very pleased about that! 😊

Hi, hopefully the mxt will help. I think about 1/3 of those who try mxt get good results and some stay on it for years! I'm sure you will get plenty of suggestions, but I'd recommend taking it in the evening with some food in your stomach. Some of us feel tired and foggy the next day so until you know how you'll respond take it before a weekend or days off. I sincerely hope you get some relief!
