Ive ra for 4 years now and currently taking acterma injection and 8 mtx tab every fri night for 2 months and still feel horrible the day after. Headache, stomache, nausea does anyone else experience this? Seems like i experience all the side effects in the extreme when it comes to ra meds.

Hi I've been on MTX for five years now but I split my dose over two days 12.5 each day and that seems to help. My consultant said it was ok to do that.

Hi - sorry to hear you're feeling bleurgh - have you thought of trying mtx injections? It's a pen-type injection and easy to do. It avoids your stomach so might be more tolerable.

I understand how you feel

I've felt rotten all day today I take my mxt on a Thursday evening which I never look forward to.

I take injections so can't split the dose

Hi,

I agree with Moomin8. I had awful stomach problems on the tablets, so take the injections now. They still make you tired/ forgetful etc but at least you're not throwing up all the time! X
