Has anyone changed from Toczilimab infusions to the injections? I am having my 4th infusion tomorrow but find injecting at home a lot less hassle. Thanks

Hi, Yes I was on infusions whilst in the UK. I went several months without infusions when I moved back to Canada and the infusions worked well. I found the injections didn't work as well and I am waiting to change to Orencia infusions and then injections if all goes well. I find the injections at home more convenient. Everyone is different so I would give it a try. You could ask if the injections don't work as well can you go back to having infusions if that is what you would like to do.

Tocizumab worked great for me when I was on infusions. I probably had a problem due to not having the infusions for about 5-6 months as your body can build up a resistance to the drug.

Good luck I hope everything goes well for you.

Thank you, I'm really undecided ! I suppose there something in the old adage if it isn't broken don't try to fix it 😁

I switched and I found the injections better than infusions. I used to feel a bit tired after infusions but no side effects from injection. The injection can be a bit fiddly at times but then my husband does it or the nurse at doctors is quite happy to help but I have osteoarthritis in my finger joints due to the damage getting ra controlled.
