Hi all, my name is Laura and I was diagnosed with RA around 2 years ago (just before my sons 1st birthday). I'm currently taking prednisone and azathioprine as we have been trying for another baby (must be mad πŸ˜‚). Would love to talk to anyone in a similar situation (or have been through similar) to share tips/advice 😊

Hi Laura, not sure if this is useful but I just wanted to say hi. I've had RA for 10 years and got pregnant while on sulfasalazine. My rheumatologist put me on that DMARD because it's meant to be safe to take when pregnant and she knew I wanted children. I ended up having twins! They're 6 now. I went into remission while pregnant but it came back quite badly after they were born - I think this is quite a common pattern. Good luck with trying for your baby xx

Thanks for replying 😊 that's good to know you went into remission during pregnancy, have been worried about lack of pain relief options etc if I do get pregnant. I did struggle to conceive my first child so struggling to be positive as pain and inflammation is already increasing, just hoping I can hold on long enough 😊 so great that you got your twins x
