Hi quick question. Napraxon is irritating my stomach despite Omeprazole. Can I get a gastro resistant form and does it help? Thanks for reading this

I've had my omeperazole increased to 20mg twice a day to counteract NSAID. Any chance you could get yours increased?

I have the brand, Naprosyn, EC 500mg Gastro-Resistant naproxen, made by Atnahs I also take 2 lansoprazol in the morning and find it doesn't effect my Stomach. I have a Hiatus Hernia as well. Ask your GP to prescribe this for you. Good luck. X

You could request you're prescribed enteric coated naproxen Mary. It's twice as expensive as naproxen without e/c but if you need it you need it & that's why we have prescription charges eh? There's also one branded Vimovo which is a combination of naproxen & esomeprazole, even more expensive. Or, if you're considered frail or very elderly (?!) & it's recommended you can't stop naproxen or there's no other suitable NSAID misoprostol can be prescribed alongside naproxen, it's branded Napratec & a combination pack (500mg naproxen & 200mcg misoprostol). Or as Jacey says you could ask if increasing your omeprazole would help. I had to do this with one med as a precaution & went up to 40mg from my normal 20mg. x

Try a bottle of peptac. I live in N.Ireland & this I can buy without a script. I get it from Gordon's Chemist. My doctor Prescribed it to me also. It's like gavescon, it helps me. I drink too much caffeine & this is my cause.
