Hi, is it possible to receive Benepali prescriptions from your GP as I do have continual delivery problems receiving them direct, my MTX injections I can pick up from my local pharmacy, I am aware that Benepali has to be refrigerated so maybe that is the reason for direct deliveries. Does anyone have a GP's prescription for this medication? Many Thanks

No must come via Rheumy prescribed pharmacy - Health Care at Home or similar.
You must be present to sign for meds and immediately refrigerate.
Hello there,
Biologics are only able to be prescribed by your rheumatology team. If there is continuous issues with deliveries from the homecare delivery company please do let your rheumatology team know as well as raising the issue directly with the delivery company. You may be able to come to an arrangement to have your delivery sent directly to a local pharmacists if they have the ability and are willing to store if for you to collect when convenient. This has been arranged on an adhoc basis for some people but is done so on an individual arrangement.
You can always ask for it to be delivered to a work address or another neighbour or friend as long as there is the ability to keep them refrigerated and if a work address that you have permission to do so from your employers and it is communicated to all other staff etc.
If you need any further help with resolving the issue please call the NRAS helpline 0800 298 7650
