Hi,

Hope you are all having a pain free day..I was wondering if anybody else has RA nodes. Mine are on my left elbow and left middle finger.Does any medication help with them? I know sometimes they do surgery but not unless they are very painful and they can come back. So just need some advice. Thank you

Funny I had some on my hands and then they just disappeared also one on my head. I didn't do anything. Am not taking any RA meds.😊

And you are doing okay? Before my meds I could not move because of the pain I had and I have a high tolerance for pain. lol that didn't work real well for me.

I am doing fine so far on AIP, LDN and supplements. One year now, but I suppose you will never know since there are so many forms of RA and individual differences how you react to different forms of treatment. Not an easy task to find what suits you. Important I think anyways that you are convinced with that the treatment you choose feels right for you, not the doctor or someone else😊

I am so glad that is working for you. I hate being on medicine, I am on 3 for RA and still experiencing some pain but better than a year ago :)

Agree, especially when not one for taking pills. I have had too succumb! As the markers in my body were not elevating low enough. I just am taking things day by day!

Oh I am sorry, the RA nodes can be so painful. I wonder if they can just go away or if we are stuck with them?

I just assumed we are stuck with them. I've had the ones on my fingers for a long time, and don't know how long the ones on my spine have been there - they were picked up on an X-ray.

Will an RA nodule disappear?

Nodules may persist and enlarge, or they may shrink and disappear. They may also recur after disappearing for a period of time. It is difficult to predict how an individual RA nodule will behave. Well, this is what I found but they say methotrexate can cause them on some people but most of the time it is because we have the severe form of RA.
