Things have been much easier for me since i realised that ignoring myself and using everything i am to help others who really need it makes my difficulties fade away, it seemed so utterly pointless dragging myself through from day to day until i found i could still help and found where help was desperately needed.

I really admire that level Of understanding, empathy and commitment you demonstrate. It's hugely giving of you and I think must inspire others greatly.

Well done leonwp, I can only imagine the amount of people That have benefited from your generosity of spirit and your wisdom.

If anything Marie i am a coward, i was often labelled as "brave", but the truth is that i simply never once in my life understood fear and so simply didnt acknowledge it, and i wasnt prepared to acknowledge it now. It is so much easier to tackle someone elses problem than face your own. When i was destroying myself pointlessly with bitter frustration at what i had become, i became vulnerable and realised that fear was coming to find me. I fortunately realised that although i was half the man i was i could still make a difference. I read a quote, it said this "NO MAN EVER STANDS SO TALL AS WHEN HE STOOPS TO HELP A CHILD"

I was lucky enough to find a very worthy cause.

Define cowardice or bravery? It, to me is a continuum ? I think what sounds the bravest thing, is to find a strength , in amongst pain, vulnerability and uncertainty, to even begin to think about something other than your own internal world - to find that extra push to even begin to consider anything or anyone else,

Never mind go that extra mile, in the face of it, to actively help? To me that's courage, not cowerdice, and ultimately admirable ?

I think it's great, in the face of your felt Losses , that you can still find the strength to give - never minimise that x
