Brown envelope just arrived and my mandatory reconsideration has been rejected because I walked 15 metres unaided into the consultation. This on top of a chest infection and being tested for Lupus on top of R A !
I'm not giving up so next stop tribunal.

I had mine reduced by half. I've given up fighting. I found the whole process soul destroying.

Pip, you need to get on their Pip, then when gather all the pips around and then squish it all up and then put it in the freezer to cook, i Dont know why you cook things in a fridge or a freezer, now take it out and then go to Atos and throw it as hard as you can through the window but make sure the window is closed so that it smashed said window and all together that im sure would get on thaire PIP, so now you should be satisfied and rested, so now get off ya bum and APPEAL APPEAL APPEAL, DONT STOP UNTIL THEY GIVE IN AND GIVE YOU WHAT YOU DESERVE.

Please appeal just because you walk i5 meters once doesn't mean you can do it repeatedly reliably or safely and its unexceptionable to walk through the pain barrier like we do when we are trying or best get advice and appeal
Good on you - I know it's going to be a long,drawn out process that will probably see you want to run for the hills at many times,but please don't give in - I know first hand how bad it can be as I did the same - they said I could walk unaided even though my hip/leg had gone into spasm while I was sitting on the most uncomfortable chair ever,and had to walk out(walk being a very loose term!!) by literally clinging onto the walls of the winding and narrow corridor(it was so narrow my partner couldn't stand beside me to help hold me up) all the while sobbing,and trying to catch my breath through the pain!! They also gave me zero points because I turned up washed and half presentable - apparently that meant I didn't need help at all - regardless of the fact I'd given her a long list of the aids I used to help,and my partner had to help wash me too!! They just don't listen,write their own version of your answers down,and presume that most can't be bothered with the fight,because as someone else has already said,they make it as soul destroying as possible for you in the effort to cut the amount being paid!! II found the whole courts and tribunal process a breeze in comparison - it actually felt like I was being treated like a person when spoken to,as oppose to a bit of dirt on the shoe of the so-called Physio that did my original PIP assessment. It will be hard to go through,but if you've got the fight left in you,then I'd definitely say go for it - the process needs people like us to help the cause in general - so many times I wanted to throw the towel in on my bad days,but then the more you think about it and the more it drives you insane that they can get away with treating people the way they do - I found that spurred me on when I needed it.

I went through the same and went to tribunal which is scary but I won and got lowest daily living allowance for 12 months.
Then reapplied this year when my 12 months was coming to an end and got enhanced and full mobility so I guess it's down to the assessor
It's making me ill thinking about it all but I just can't see how I was awarded the first time around and refused this time when I am worse. I think you are right about it being down to the assessor on the day.
