I was just thinking about starting my Christmas present buying and it got me thinking: what would I like for Christmas?
For me, I think I would like a good towelling dressing gown in which I could wrap myself up after a lovely bath or refreshing shower so I can be dry and comfortably snug without too much effort☺
Of course - it goes without saying - I'd like my good health back.
How about you?

But a nice warm towelling robe to wrap around you after a bath/shower sounds good as well.
Ladies ...look at Carole Hochman night wear on QVC. Channel, 16 on Freeview. They have delicious soft, cuddly warm, machine washable robes, leisure sets , PJ's & nighties.
As I write this I'm wearing a deep purple robe with a lovely cowl collar.....it's very warm & decent to open the front door.
The range is not cheap...but hey it's nearly Christmas we should spoil,ourselves!

I have one of those Sylvi. It's a tray purse but it's like a normal purse with a place for notes & cards as well. It's by Tula & it's brill, no more fumbling trying to get coins out & failing. Actually this is the second I've had in the same style & guess what, the first one was pink!! x
My son and dil are buying me one for christmas so i will be a happy girl.xxxx

Ahhh - Thanks so much MickeyJoints - Interesting. I had never heard of these, but I do remember my grandfather with a little coin purse that was a lemon kind of shape, and you squeeze the ends to open it.
I suspect my RA is the reason I just throw all of my change into the bottom of my purse, then clean it out when it gets too heavy - 
Mine's similar to the link MJ has given but the coin tray is inside the purse, has a press-studded flap & 2 note compartments & about 6 credit card slots plus two open slots & then it folds like a normal purse with another press-stud.

I hope you get your snuggly robe. I would like mine early. Santa to fix my heating boiler. Had no hot water or heat since tuesday and it's not right warm here in Yorkshire. Energy heating services have gave me a sooner slot for an engineer tomorrow pm instead of Saturday.
Don't they have you as a vulnerable person? I had to point it out to our repairer when ours broke. In our previous house British Gas left me over night with no heat (in winter and I have asthma).
I have pointed that out. I too have asthma also. They do not seem bothered. I am really annoyed. What would happen to an older person with the same conditions it is totally wrong when you pay for a service.
I got the third degree when my c/htg broke down...don't you have a fireplace? Don't you have an electric fire? Are you sure you don't ?Don't have any other form of heating?
I may be old...but I do know what's in my own house for goodness sake & apart from my c/htg boiler I have no other means of heating it!
Needless to say bolshie old me gave as good as I got, & the heating engineer came out.....but what about the nice polite people in this world? Are they supposed to freeze because some service agent has no common sense & just reads the questions?

It's just the lack of common sense that bugs me. If I ask if you've got an electric fire & you say "No"- I don't treat you like an idiot and ask "Are you sure?"

I really hope you all get everything you wish for at xmas. I really don't need anything for xmas but the one thing I would love to have is for someone to come into my place and just sort out all the crap for me so that I can get my place renovated sooner rather than later. 
Hi kalel. I have been reading a book called "Spark Joy". it is by Marie Kondo, and it is her method for de-cluttering your life.
I am pretty focused on keeping the clutter down, and yet I still accumulate.. go figure! Her entire point is for you not to keep anything that doesn't "spark joy" or make you happy when you look at it.

I was following someone called Dara Dubinet and she talks about de cluttering your home a lot as well.
For me a house should be homely space and the less clutter there is in your house the more it will clear your mind and make you feel better. Good luck the de cluttering.
I am sure once everything is done my place will look great but I actually enjoy cleaning and sorting crap out, clearly I am weird ha ha.

Nah - not weird at all. I thought for a while (pre-RA of course) about being a professional organizer and helping hoarders with their houses.. That's probably weird though now that I think about it.
You are right of course... I love nothing more than an organized and minimalist space with enough comforts to be warm. Hope you have a wonderful one too, and enjoy the reno... Not fun, but the results are wonderful!

Hi Moomin8,well the obvious , no more of this s---e disease,but as that's not going to happen( maybe if I sit on his knee!!!!)I'd like one of those little electric heat pads for my back,and a full time gardener to clear my jungle up.x
I do hope Santa brings you an electric heat pad RBWH, I find mine invaluable especially in the morning, have it on now in fact. If you have it vertically it's great for your neck too. If you're adding it to your list specify one with multiple heat control & timer (mine is a Dreamland one & the best I've had so far).
To be able to walk again without any aids.
Jimmy Choo shoes in black with high heels with silver wired ankle laces and the lovely neat feet to go in them !! Failing that a pair of UGG's so no one can see the misshapen left foot . lol x
Isn't it amazing how your hopes and wishes change when you feel like this. They change from material things to the things that the majority of people in the world take for granted - good health. I think each and every one of us would ask for our old selves back and to be pain free. On my 40th birthday in March, my wish as I blew out my birthday candles was to be pain free for 12 hours. I'm still waiting on it coming true.... Come on Santa, make my wish come true!!
Someone to find a cure for RD, failing that just the one med everyone can take with no side effects that would put us all in remission, permanently. Back in the real world....possibly, I'd love a handbag that will hold all I need but not weigh anything &, more attainable, a feather filled long coat for when I feel I can manage a walk down the seafront & some new earmuffs.
I want a health back bag,and i have asked my hubby and daughter for one prefable in leather and i don't care about the colour(pink would be lovely,But i don't care as long as i get one) The leather ones are lovely,then i can wear it across my chest and it won't put the pressure on my neck. I would then get rid of all my pink handbags,well most of them anyway.xxxxx
Look up the Landsend website its clothes not the place and I have a commuter coat very expensive but lovely and warm so warm in fact (American manufacturer) that I use it for birdwatching sub zero and only a T shirt underneath.
The commuter coat looks just the job & today there's 30% off!
The whole range of Landsend is really great, I've bought their jeans excellent, t shirts super quality and packing jacket for holidays and Squall jacket too. Love the fit and colours are really super. The rating they give is accurate and they really last a long time too. T shirts are non iron and jumpers really last well.
Towelling dressing gowns are brilliant when you are stiff and find movement painful- OH bought me one when I was first diagnosed. No more having to move much to dry yourself. I also bought a cheap 'silky' nightie for when it is painful to move in bed as you can slide much more easily. Both these ideas were on the nras website as part of a list of suggestions for things that had worked for other people.
These sound like great ideas! I've just thought of another one- a mighty big ask....an automatic car 🚗 it's hard work in my manual one now. I don't think it'll fit down my chimney though 🎅
Oh do seriously think about it Moomin, it sounds a bit ott but it really has changed my life, independence is everything & I'd have been lost when my h has been in hospital. Santa has a special way of getting big things down the chimney did you not know, it expands but only when you're not looking! 
Got one already A Honda Jazz, but since my husbands retired he uses it more than me and leaves his on the drive. So perhaps Santa could bring him a bus pass !! x

I am in need of a new electric can-opener. The one I have had for 30 years is acting weird so that I have to pump it all around the can and then it won't turn off so I have to unplug it. My real wish is that my family can all be together for Christmas.
