NRAS Group Meetings—Week Commencing 17th October 2016

Medway NRAS Group

Future meetings of the Medway NRAS Group are taking place in the Blue Room at Gillingham Methodist Church, 100 Third Avenue, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 2LU bi-monthly on a Monday from 7pm-9pm.

17th October - Guest speaker Colin Baldock, Orthopaedic Practitioner and Physiotherapist is returning to do another session on relaxation and gentle exercise for those living with RA

East Dorset NRAS Group

The East Dorset group meet socially for coffee from 11am at Stewarts Garden Centre, Lyndhurst Road, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 4SA and also Haskins Garden Centre, Longham, Ferndown, Dorset BH22 9DG. Next coffee morning is as follows: 22nd September at Haskins.

North East NRAS Group

The North East Group run quarterly educational meetings which are held in the Education Centre, Level 1, Freeman Hospital, High Heaton, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE7 7DN from 5.30pm-8.00pm.

20th October - Professor John Isaacs, Professor of Rheumatology, Newcastle University will present: 'Rheumatoid Arthritis - Where Next?' To be held in function room 138.

Pembury & Tunbridge Wells NRAS Group

NRAS Volunteer Members co-ordinate this group and hold their bi-monthly meetings at Langton Green Village Hall, Speldhurst Road, TN3 0JJ on a Thursday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

20th October - Guest speaker Dr. Alexander Keough FRCP from Maidstone Hospital will be doing a Q & A session, also a presentation from The Able Label clothing company

Plymouth NRAS Group

The group meet monthly on a Thursday in the Health Education Room at Mount Gould Hospital, Plymouth PL4 7QD from 12-2pm, please see below for meeting dates.

October 20th from 11am-2pm - Guest speaker: Dr Mark Perry, Consultant Rheumatologist, Derriford Hospital

Southend-on-Sea NRAS Group

Meetings take place bi-monthly in the Meeting Room at the Salvation Army Citadel (opposite Morrisons), 146-148 London Road, Hadleigh, Essex, SS7 2PF on a Tuesday from 2:00-3:30pm, unless otherwise stated below.

*Thursday 20th October - Billy Fashanu, Consultant Physiotherapist at Southend Hospital will be talking to the group about physiotherapy for RA

Yeovil NRAS Group

COFFEE MORNINGS – These will be held at Palmers Garden Centre Cafe, Yeovil, BA20 2FH on the 3rd Thursday of alternate months between 10.30am and 12pm. 2016 dates are – 20th October and 15th December. Hope to see you there.

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
