Hi All

Thought I would share with you that after only waiting 2 weeks from PIP Assessment I have received a Text message from DWP saying I qualify for PIP! ... Am delighted as I had to give up my career as a Driving Instructor because of this terrible Disease....

I wish all of you that are going through the agonising wait the best of luck :-)

Result! I hope it's commensurate to your claim Gail. The award payments are backdated to first contact (the date you requested your application form) just so you know. x

There are 2 categories

Daily living which you need to score between 8-12 points and

Mobility which you need to score 8-12 points

the lower points for standard PIP

the Higher Points for Enhanced PIP

Congratulations on your good news!!! I had my assesment today but didn't last two hours. The lady was very friendly and when she read back the report it seemed to all say what I wanted. I just hope everyone waiting gets given good news. I too was told 6-8 wks. Just have to wait and see. Only thing that concerns me is I wasn't in loads of pain today so the physical examination isn't representative of me every day. Oh well can do no more.
