waves of pain

Feeling pretty fed up having had waves of pain since going to bed. Usual pain relief isn't working so I'm sitting here with a hot water bottle reading others' posts. Hot water bottle in this heat?? Must be mad (or have RA)!

Hi Mais

I am struggling with upper arm pain at the moment. I have been using Lodine which is a slow release medication and really helps once it kicks in.

Take care

Know what you mean, I use hottie summer and winter, needs must.

Lately, I include a chunk of turmeric in with my smoothie to help with joint pain.

I think the combination of stuff has helped my pain levels as with smoothies my digestion of goodness seems to be improved.

Hope you feel better soon, good luck.

I'm sure it is bizarre but I've felt much creakier since this really hot weather started - so many sore places. I can't understand why because I get creaky when the weather is damp so I would have thought heat = good but it doesn't seem so for me. My eyes are so sore and dry I'm having to heat my eye bag in the microwave and lie down with a heat bag on my face - in all this heat! Yuk but it works. Not sure I could manage a hottie though. Good luck, hope you get sorted out soon.

Me too. For me it's the humidity, it affects my joints the same as damp does. It's 93% this morning so little surprise! I hope you have a better night tonight.

I ache all over. Meds don't seem to be working so it bed with the electric blanket on covered with a sheet with the fan on to keep cool.

The joys of a British summer with the humidity.

This seems to be a common thread at the moment, more pain with humidity. In various joints. My little men with screwdrivers have turned into big men with chisels. Barely had an hours sleep last night, so overtired, every joint was twitching!

I'm so sorry for you and hope things improve soon.

I'm looking after my two grandsons tomorrow so I am hoping to feel a little better in the morning.

heat is all that helps a little if i use ice forget it i hurt unbearable i couldn't imagine living where it gets cold i used to when i was young but there is no way i could deal with it now. My arm is really painful right now it hurts to hold the remote for the tv i can't carry my purse either its to painful on shoulder. I understand what your going through.

Have the pains eased at all for you? Must be so draining. I don't have RA my hubby does. This damn illness makes me so angry for you all. And try explaining it to anyone!! Do take care xx
