Failed my blood test again.

I tell my blood the correct answers but my liver just doesn't listen. My liver function test failed again. Spoke with my lovely Rheummy nurse, who said that she wasn't worried, an additional test that she ran showed that my liver was normal last time. Have a repeat in a couple of weeks.

The next few weeks are going to be difficult as my eldest brother is flying so that his wife may have her 50th birthday with her family (they live in New Zealand). It will be the last time I will see him as he has Stage 4 liver cancer. I don't want to see him as I am sad but it is what he wants.

Still chins up everyone and tell RA to get stuffed.

It's one of those times when you'll be doing this for your brother no matter how sad it makes you. If you didn't do it you would always regret it. I'm sorry that it won't be easy but it's time for hugs and the things you need to say ....or he needs to say and you to listen. Sending strength and gentle hugs to you.

(I hope your liver washes it's ears out ready for the pep talk in a fortnight! Isn't it great to have a lovely rheumy, I have one too and I never want her to move jobs or retire!)

Sorry to hear your sad news Jacqui. I lost my eldest brother when he was 48 and it is a tough time. We're all here for you.

I think lovleylegs Has expressed everything beautifully there is little I can add, except if you did not see your brother, I think you would feel a lot worse than saying goodbye.
