Well hubby has gone for his angiogram and i didn't take him...

That is because the chest infection still has a hold on me and i am in a fair bit of pain. Got more antibiotics from my doctor and he was kind enough to ring me as i couldn't get there due to pain clinic. He had given me the first lot of asnitbiotics so he knew me. He has said that if this doesn't clear it up then i will have to go and see him, which i felt was very kind of him. You hear so many complaints about our drs and i have to say he was very good.

Then it was the pain clinic down the hospital and he has put me forward for another lidocaine infusion and i have said i will take a cancelation as we are due to go on holiday at the begining of next month. So then it was off the chemist to pick up the antibiotics then i came home and did nothing but sit out front getting the sunshine with my feet up resting. I find if i sit still i feel brighter.

My hubby has to have an angiogram this morning and our son has taken him as i am not well enough and to be honest it has hurt me that i couldn't do this for him,but he was right as i am not sure i would be safe to drive with the way my back is acting as i have pain down my right leg. I am so damn tired of this i want the pain bus to stop so i can get off and get some respite. I accepted that i would be be exhausted this afternoon to fetch him and our son is going to do it for me,whether i go with him or not or they don't tell me and son just goes and gets him an brings me home to ease my worrying. I am on tenderhooks until it is over and he rings me to tell me how it went. I hate how ra/fibro/cfs has impacted on my life. I always imagined i would be the one to look after my hubby not the other way round......

Sylvi,

Your hubby knows the pain and discomfort you have suffered this week so he will understand and not expect you to be at the hospital.Stressing out will certainly not be doing you any good either.Try not to fret, your son is there with him and he will be in touch when he has news.

Like you I always imagined that I would be looking after my husband. He is 69 and I am 57 -and he is my carer not the other way round.Life is just not what you expect sometimes.

Just be there to give him a warm welcome home.He will be as pleased to be back home with you, as you will be to see him.Have an afternoon of real quality time.

I hope all has gone well for him today.

Crusee

That's a familiar feeling I think. It's good you've been sitting in the sun - doubly good, rest and sun. I hope your hubbys tests go well and you can rest for the weekend

Hubby has rang to say he had had it done and there is nothing wrong with his heart and the dr thinks it could be caused by a fall he had last year while we were on holiday and he cracked his ribs.xxxx

Oh Sylvie not a good time but I am sure your husband would feel more relaxed before his opinion.without worrying about you driving home after you left him.

I am sure you have probably worn out the carpet with worry but he Will be home soon.

You care for him by just being there and doing little things it does not have to be physical.

Hope your chest clears soon.xxxx

He is home safe and sound and he doesn't have anything wrong with his heart, thank goodness. It looks like it could be from a fall he had last year when he cracked his ribs.xxxx

Thank is better news than problems with his heart. Wonder why his ribs being cracked was not picked up at the time of his fall.xx

That is good news Sylvi. Though I hope it doesn't cause more problems & he has suitable pain relief. Your time to help him a bit now, if you're able. Ribs, who'd have em! My h is waiting for another op to have a couple of his plated. x

He has an appointment to see his dr Tuesday evening so we will ask for pyschio to release these nerves, Then we need to get his hiatus hernia rechecked to see if there is any more problems there. He will now listen to me when i said it wasn't his heart. Years ago he had a hernia repair done and the he was told he had a slow heartbeat and that he wouldn't have a heart attack.xxxxxxx

Well at least his heart is ruled out now, so that's good, they were probably being cautious. My h hadn't had a heart attack, just shortness of breath & were treating "asthma" with steroids so it doesn't always follow. If they think physio will sort it that's good too. x
