Hello everyone. Is RA LATEX the same of as the Rheumatoid factor and is a level of 128 too high ?

You need to ask what the normal range is for the test. It should be supplied with the test results.

Yes, they mix latex with your blood to find out the level of the rheumatoid factor.  These tests aren't like other things where you should be at a certain level, but are for diagnosis.  So there isn't a too high, or too low - but just your own level.   Different laboratories have different ranges, so we don't want to tell you something misleading. 

As Matilda say, the results sheet should have the reference range.  And remember that if you are positive then all it means is that you are more likely to have something like rheumatoid arthritis - but it's not the most accurate test and about 30% of people are positive for the factor but don't have the disease.

Thanks a lot. The range should be below 20. I guess 128 is way too high. My anticcp is 268.

Ouch!  That probably means you hurt right now..... I hope you have an appointment soon so can move forward with diagnosis and treatment.
