Please find details below of the NRAS Group meetings taking place next week:

NRAS Group Meetings—Week Commencing 18th April 2016

Thanet NRAS Group

Meetings take place four times a year at The New Life Family Church, 8 Church Street, Margate, Kent, CT9 1ST from 6:45pm-8:15pm on a Monday.

18th April - Group Coordinator Petra will be talking about her recent experience of applying for Personal Independence Payment and assessment. PLUS Conn O'Neill from NRAS will do an update on the Policy and Public Affairs work NRAS are currently doing.

Hertfordshire NRAS Group

Quarterly meetings are held at Welwyn Civic Centre, Prospect Place, Welwyn AL6 9ER on a Tuesday from 7:00pm-8:30pm.

19th April - Guest speakers: Anne Marie Gent & Kevin Clann: Tai Chi - Demonstration and introduction

Oldham NRAS Group

Bi-monthly meetings are held at St John's Ambulance Headquarters, Busk Road, off Ellen Street, Oldham, OL9 6QY on a Tuesday from 7:00pm-8:30pm.

April 19th - Fatemeh Sani Pour, a final phase PhD student from Salford University, is going to speak about her work on positive experiences after diagnosis of RA

Southend-on-Sea NRAS Group

Meetings take place bi-monthly at the Salvation Army Citadel (opposite Morrisons), 146-148 London Road, Hadleigh, Essex, SS7 2PF on a Tuesday from 2:00-3:30pm.

19th April - Clare Jacklin from NRAS will attend and host a group discussion on the future of the Southend on Sea NRAS Group. We are encouraging everyone to come along to have your say about the future of group; we will be discussing change of venue, times of meetings, topics you are interested in and much more. Come along and support the future of the Southend on Sea group!

Salford NRAS Group

The Salford NRAS group have a new meeting venue! All meetings now to be held at 15 Springbank, Off Brentwood, Salford, M6 8RH on a Wednesday from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

20th April  - General/Social Meeting

Pembury & Tunbridge Wells NRAS Group

Rheumatology Nurse Janie Langridge and NRAS Volunteer Members co-ordinate this group and hold their bi-monthly meetings at Langton Green Village Hall, Speldhurst Road, TN3 0JJ on a Thursday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

21st April - Mike Brown, Extended Scope Physiotherapist will be talking about joint injections and showing us some useful exercises that we can do

Plymouth NRAS Group

The group meet monthly on a Thursday in the Health Education Room at Mount Gould Hospital, Plymouth PL4 7QD from 12-2pm.

April 21st - Guest speaker: Wendy Hill from 'Healthwatch Plymouth'

Glasgow NRAS Group

Next meeting: Thursday 21st April at 7:00pm

Tesco Rollox Community Room, Tesco St Rollox Extra, Cobden Rd, Glasgow G21 1YL.

Guest speaker: Kirsty Bell, Specialist Physiotherapist (Rheumatology) and Arthritis Research UK Fellow at Glasgow Caledonian University will meet the group to talk about Physiotherapy and how it can benefit people with RA. She will also talk about the research she is conducting with Glasgow Caledonian University. Tea, coffee and biscuits available.

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
