NRAS Group Meetings—Week Commencing 15th February 2016

Hertfordshire NRAS Group

Quarterly meetings are held at Welwyn Civic Centre, Prospect Place, Welwyn AL6 9ER on a Tuesday from

7:00pm-8:30pm.

16th February - Guest speaker: Christine Halls of 'In Essence': Complimentary treatments - a taster session, e.g. reiki, reflexology, meditation, aromatherapy

Southend-on-Sea NRAS Group

Meetings take place bi-monthly at the Salvation Army Citadel (opposite Morrisons), 146-148 London Road, Hadleigh, Essex, SS7 2PF on a Tuesday from 2:00-3:30pm.

16th February - Tea and cakes afternoon social

Salford NRAS Group

The Salford NRAS group have a new meeting venue! All meetings now to be held at 15 Springbank, Off Brentwood, Salford, M6 8RH on a Wednesday from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

17th February - 'An introduction to self-management for RA' by Jacqui Pollock – Self Management UK

North Hampshire & Winchester NRAS Group

The following dates for group meetings are to be held at Central 40, Chineham Park, Basingstoke RG24 8WG on a Wednesday from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

17th February - Guest speaker Cathy Boys and team, Rheumatology Specialist Practitioner will present: 'How to Manage a Flare' and 'Understanding your Medication'

Wrexham NRAS Group

2016 meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of every month at Tesco Wrexham, Crescent Road, Wrexham, LL13 8HF from 7:00-8:30pm.

17th February - A therapeutic colouring evening

Pembury & Tunbridge Wells NRAS Group

This group hold their bi-monthly meetings at Langton Green Village Hall, Speldhurst Road, TN3 0JJ on a Thursday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Donations of £1 appreciated.

18th February - Ann-Marie, Lead Nurse in Rheumatology for Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust will be taking questions and answers and speaking about the running of the rheumatology department and how it might change in the future.

Plymouth NRAS Group

Phil and Rika co-ordinate this group and call themselves PADRAGS (Plymouth & District Rheumatoid Arthritis Group Support). The group meet monthly on a Thursday in the Health Education Room at Mount Gould Hospital, Plymouth PL4 7QD from 12-2pm.

February 18th - A representative of Livewell Plymouth will talk about what they can do to benefit the well-being of people in Plymouth

East London NRAS Group

The East London NRAS group are holding meetings in the meeting room at the Kobi Nazrul Centre, 30 Hanbury Street, London E1 6QR.

Thursday 18th February 7:00pm - 9:30pm - Guest speaker: Mr Jonathan Griffin, Bsc (Hons). Senior Podiatrist in Biomechanics, Footwear and Orthotics at Barts Health NHS Trust’s Foot Health Department in London will present: 'Starting off on the wrong foot: Exploring medical devices in Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)'

Greater Glasgow & Clyde NRAS Group

18th February 7.15pm-8.30pm at Tesco community room, St Rollox business park, Springburn, G21 1YL.

We will be talking about relaxation and also having a fun quiz about how well we know RA.

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
