Tired of being Tired – a 6 week management course

This is a new project being undertaken by the Rheumatology Department at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth to help patients self-manage their fatigue and pain control. The course takes place over a six week period and is free to attend but must be booked as places are limited.

The sessions take place at the Oasis Wellness Centre (Queen Alexandra Hospital), last for 2 to 2½ hours and some include water-based light exercise. They also include relaxation and Mindfulness practice to introduce these techniques to you.

The dates for the next set of sessions has been announced as starting on Thursday evenings starting 18th February 2016 6:00-7:30pm for 6 weeks.

To register please contact Valerie Robins at valerie.robins@porthosp.nhs.uk or write to her at Valerie Robins- Tired of Being Tired Programme, Department of Rheumatology, Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, PO6 3LY

I took part in one of these courses and it helped me a lot even though I thought I was in good control of RA and I was the boss, not the condition. I would highly recommend a course like this to anybody.
