Please find the details of the NRAS group meetings taking place next week:

NRAS Group Meetings—Week Commencing 16th November 2015

Medway NRAS Group

This group meet at the Medway Health Staff Social Club at Medway Maritime Hospital, Windmill Road, Gillingham, Kent ME7 5NY bi-monthly on a Monday from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

Unfortunately the coordinators of the Medway NRAS Group were informed today of the closure of the Medway Health Staff Social Club. Due to the short notice in finding a new venue, the meeting on Monday 16th November has been cancelled. Our apologies to anyone who had planned on attending this meeting. The coordinators hope to announce a new venue for the January meeting in due course.

Glasgow NRAS Group

Ongoing group meetings are to be held in different locations around Glasgow, please see below for full details:

Tuesday 17th November 6:30pm-8:00pm

The Renfield Centre at St. Stephens Church, 260 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4HZ—Guest speaker: Professor Iain McInnes, Professor of Experimental Medicine, Glasgow University will present 'Stratified Medicine'

Oldham NRAS Group

Bi-monthly meetings are held at St John's Ambulance Headquarters, Busk Road, off Ellen Street, Oldham, OL9 6QY on a Tuesday from 7:00pm-8:30pm.

17th November - Dave Pilbury, Physiotherapist from Pennine MSK will be doing an exercise class/talk

Three Counties NRAS Group

This group meets at St. Francis Church Hall, 121 Upper Chobham Road, Frimley, Surrey, GU15 1EE bi-monthly on a Tuesday from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

17th November - Two Physios will be joining us from Frimley Park Hospital to explain the various forms of

physiotherapy and what we can do to help our bodies to co-operate

Salford NRAS Group

The Salford NRAS group meet throughout the year on a Wednesday from 6:30pm-8:00pm in the The Angel Centre, 1 St Philips Place, Salford, M3 6FA.

18th November - 'Acupuncture for RA – an alternative approach' by Philip Trubshaw MBAcC – Acupuncturist at Manchester Acupuncture Clinic

Wrexham NRAS Group

2015 meetings will be held monthly on the third Wednesday at Tesco Wrexham, Crescent Road, Wrexham, LL13 8HF from 7:00-8:30pm.

18th November - Pre-Christmas social evening with mince pies!

Yeovil NRAS Group

2015 meetings are to be held at: The Studio Ninesprings Clinic, 70 Hendford, Yeovil, Somerset BA20 1UR and meet on the third Wednesday of every other month from 7:30pm.

18th November - Sue Chesterman – ‘The Importance of Exercise’ and/or Les Cornford – ‘Gentle Tai Chi’

St Helens NRAS Group

The group meets every other month in Room 8 at St Helens Town Hall, Victoria Square, St Helens, WA10 1HP from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Wednesday 18th November - 'Self Management of RA' by the Rheumatology Team

Blackpool NRAS Group

This group meet in the cafeteria at Clifton Hospital, Pershore Road, Lytham St. Annes, FY8 1PB from 7:00pm – 8:30pm on the third Thursday of alternate months.

19th November - BADRAG 5th Birthday

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
