Zoledronic infusion

Has anyone experience of this yearly drug. I'm due to start it at beginning of November.

Hi Marm, I had my first infusion in August, it took about hour most of which was setting everything up. Didn't have any side effects much easier than taking Alendronic tablets weekly.

I had bloods taken a few days before my infusion to check my vitamin D levels unfortunately they were too low, which delayed the infusion for several months, given vit D tablets and calcium ,with regular blood tests till the levels were high enough to have infusion.

My husband has had this for 3yrs with no problems he has parkinsons & osteoporosis. I'm trying to get it myself, after been prescribed alendronic acid and having reaction to it. I would be very confident about zolendronate. Good luck.

Thank you for your replies. Was having a Retuximab infusion so couldn't reply earlier. You have both set my mind at rest. Will let you know how things go. Thanks again. Marie
