RA Sucks!!!
Hi suzannedale, that's not a rant, it's a very polite but valid complaint. Come on girl, give it some welly. We are used to it on here. It is your absolute right to post any amount of rants, and hopefully this wonderful community will support you and maybe make you feel a little better about your joints playing up. Sending very gentle hugs and best wishes. xxx
lol yes I guess my rant is a little pathetic
What a weeny rant Sue! I so know how you feel though. It's rubbish when you settle into your meds & then they let the disease creep back in. If you have a Rheumy nurse do contact her, or your GP if you've not be taking an NSAID. They're useful if not to take all the time to take when things like this happen. x
hi suzannedale.
how long have you been on sulfasalazine? I myself have started taken them (2g daily and taken them for 2 months now).. and I had been warned that they can take up to 3 months to start working - but I to have noticed new affected joints since starting this drug.
Hello chlopage.
I'm starting my 7th week on sulfasalazine 500mg 2x daily. I've been on 400mg hydroxychloroquine for 71/2 months now. I was hoping it would kick in after 6 weeks. Up to 3 months eh?
take care
Sue
RA does indeed suck. It sucks like the undertow, like gravity, like black holes, like a 4 year-old trying to get the last bit of milkshake with a straw. It's totally okay to say so. It is a sneaky bugger of a disease, and I wish it would leave your hands alone. Mine too, actually. Since we can't beat it with a stick we might as well growl at it. I see that as an act of defiance, and one more way to hold onto who you and I are completely apart from the wretched, sucky disease. So rant away. Gentle hugs,
-Bats
I really wish we could beat this RA away with a stick. It really is a dirty bugger of a disease as it sneaks up on us...Thanks for listening my fellow Canadian, Azabat
