NRAS Group Meetings—Week Commencing 6th July 2015

Chesterfield NRAS Group

2015 group meetings will be held at Bridge Street Methodist Church, (also known as Pilsley Methodist Church) Bridge Street, Pilsley, Chesterfield, S45 8HE on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

7th July - Sheila Dowker & Sharon Wood, Chesterfield Royal Hospital will present ‘Condition Management & Joint Protection’

Mid Somerset NRAS Group

Meetings are held at the Taunton Rugby Club, Hyde Lane, Bathpool, Taunton TA2 8BU. In 2015 winter meetings will be held bi-monthly on a Saturday morning and summer meetings will be held on a Tuesday evening.

Tuesday 7th July 7pm - 'The Pathogenesis of RA / RA and the Lungs' by Dr Elizabeth Perry, Rheumatology Specialist Registrar

Southend-on-Sea NRAS Group

Thelma co-ordinates this NRAS group. Meetings take place bi-monthly at the Salvation Army Citadel (opposite Morrisons), 146-148 London Road, Hadleigh, Essex, SS7 2PF on a Tuesday.  

July 7th 2:00pm – 3:30pm - Guest speaker: Professor Dasgupta

Worcester NRAS Group

Bi-monthly meetings take place on Wednesdays between 6.45pm to 8.30pm at the Lyppard Hub in Ankerage Green, Warndon Village, Worcester WR4 0DZ.

8th July - Guest speaker: Rachel Orme, Specialist Pilates Instructor

Weston-super-Mare NRAS Group

This group meets monthly on a Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Asda Community Centre, Asda Stores Ltd, Phillips Road, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 3UZ. 

July 8th - Guest speaker: Rachel Clark, Podiatrist from Weston Hospital 

Colchester NRAS Group

This group meet on the second Thursday of every other month at the St. John's Church Community Centre, St. John's Close, Colchester CO4 0HP (parking available on site) from 7:00pm-8:30pm. 

9th July - Social & Fundraising Event! We hope you and any family and friends will join us for this meeting to have refreshments, buy cakes and books and join in with a fun quiz!

Heart of England (Solihull) NRAS Group

This NRAS group meets on the second Thursday of every other month at Broomfield Hall, Union Road, Solihull B91 3DH (The British Legion) from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. This is opposite the back entrance to Solihull Hospital. 

9th July— ‘Aids in the home for people with RA’

North East NRAS Group

The North East Group run quarterly educational meetings which are held in the Education Centre, Level 1, Freeman Hospital, High Heaton, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE7 7DN from 5.30pm-8.00pm. 

9th July - Guest speaker: Mandy Ridley - 'Have your Pain and Beat it' - how to take control of long term pain

Preston NRAS Group

The Preston and District NRAS group meet in the Reception area at the Minerva Health Centre, Lowthorpe Road, Deepdale, Preston, PR1 6SB. Evening meetings take place throughout the year on a Thursday from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

9th July - 'The role of exercise in patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis: what’s best for your joints' by Jane Brazendale & Sarah Fish, Rheumatology Physiotherapists

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
