R/A treatment.

My current medication is monthly injections of "Simponi" (golimumab), but for the last 3 weeks the pain from the R/A has been bad, the local G.P prescribed 80mg daily of "tramadol "as a pain killer, my last appointment at Rheumatology was on 1/4/14, last week I telephoned the Hospital to request an appointment the earliest appointment available is 2/3/15, my thoughts are asking the G.P. if he would take over my treatment, I would be grateful for any thoughts or advice on what action is available to me, and what repercussions should I expect.

Do they have a helpline as if they do call the Rheumy nurses, tell them of your pain and they then decide if they need to see you? Don't know if your hospital is the same?

You might get your GP to contact rheumy asking for an urgent appointment. I really feel for you, have been in a similar place. Keep trying, or get someone to do it for you
