An opportunity to have your say about access to Social Care and the implications

for those living with RA.

NRAS is conducting a focus group on Friday15th August) at the NRAS offices in Maidenhead to discuss the experiences of people living with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) in relation to provision of social care and support.

We would be very grateful if you would consider participating and sharing your experiences so we can gain a better understanding of the issues that some of you may face.

So what do we mean by Social Care? It’s a broad term covering the provision of social work, personal care, protection and support to children or adults in need or at risk, or with needs arising from illness, disability, poverty or old age. If you received any services you think might fall under that definition, paid for by yourself or by the Local Council, or have had difficulty accessing information relating to social care or its funding then we would love to hear from you.

The duration of the focus group will be about 3 hours on the 15th of August from 10:30 to 13:30. In grateful appreciation to participants, NRAS will provide a sandwich lunch, ample refreshments and a very warm welcome!

If you would like to attend the focus group please email ben@nras.org.uk by Wednesday 6th August with a brief description of your experience of social care. Places are limited and as we hope to get a wide range of experiences, please don’t be offended if you are not chosen to participate on this occasion. All your experiences are valuable for us to hear about so if you are unable to attend but have a specific experience you feel would help us design an online survey please do share it with me via email - NOT VIA THIS BLOG

Hello I would attend, although the distance is a problem especially when I live up here on the Scottish Border.

Since moving north I feel that I have become a country yokel.

Good luck with this important issue. I can spend much time discussing these issues in the modern ?, NHS
