All DMARDs are slightly different and everybody reacts differently to them. Yes it is scary but regular blood tests are done to check your body's reaction to them. You can only go by your Rheumatologist/GP advice and keep a track of how they affect you. Once you know which you are prescribed there will be others who can offer personal experiences. S

Hi, when I started treatment I was put on three all at once, I must admit it really wasn,t as bad as I feared, felt a little yuck to start with, lost a little hair but it settled quickly. The worst thing was the fear. I spoke with an elderly lady who also had RA and she advised me NOT to look at the side effects, she never did :) I tried not to, it,s easy to get anxious about the slightest sniffle or sore throat but as farm above advised you,ll be closely monitored which is re assuring, good luck, hope they work quick and well for you :)
