Participants sought for research into the experiences of young people living with arthritis

An MSc psychology student at the University of Westminster is looking for young people aged 18-30 living with arthritis both juvenile and adult forms of the condition, to take part in a research project.

Building on previous research, the aim of this study is to gain a greater insight into how young adults with arthritis manage their condition and its impact on their lives in early adulthood. This insight will be important in helping to identify ways to maximise the physical, social and emotional outcomes of young adults with forms of arthritis which affect this age group.

Participants will be required to take part in two one-on-one interviews, the first in February 2014 and the second in May or June 2014. Interviews will take place at a mutually convenient time and location. During each interview participants will be asked to talk about their own experiences of arthritis, how they manage their condition and how it affects different aspects of their lives. The study has received ethical approval from the University of Westminster Psychology Ethics Committee.

If you are interested in taking part or would like further information, please contact Victoria Harrison mailto:victoria.harrison@my.westminster.ac.uk.
