I went to the dermatologist 2 days ago since it's been a week and my face hasn't cleared, I thought it was just a allergic reaction to i don't know what. So my dermatologist said I had a mild dermatitis and gave me a shot and prescribe me doxycycline to take and hydrocortisone to put on my face. Since I left his office on Thursday it seem like my face was getting better the redness went away and the rashes went down but now today when I woke up this morning my eyes were swollen and my face still burn and feel worst idk what this is.. Can any one help me please!

I don't know what is wrong but it sounds very like some kind of allergic reaction. As it is causing swelling to your face I think that you need to see a doctor quite quickly. If it is an allergy and starts to affect your breathing you will need rapid treatment. Clemmie

Hello

You need to get yourself back to the GP as soon as possible, it seems like an allergy if the eyes are being effected.

If you fail to get an appointment ask for a return telephone call.

If now it still gets worse you will need to call Health Direct and take advice as soon as possible they will be able to assist. If you still feel concerned get along to A and E.

Good luck

An article in the Sunday Telegraph yesterday 15 December by Claire Duffin mentions that a chemical used in every days cosmetics & cleansing products has been withdrawn as it was blamed for an "epidemic" of painful skin allergies. It is called for short M1 (methylisothiazolinone) Dermatologists have linked it to steep rise in allergies know as contact dermatitis. Maybe you could find out more about this or read the article on line. Hope this might help...................Kathy
