hi heard the news about pip what will happen with me does any one no I have a indefinite award and was wandering when things will affect me cause I am really confused thanks xxxxxxx

I was wondering the same, not for me but my Hubby, he has DLA indefinite award, we are due to change our mobility car next year & have to request the new one 3-4 months before the old lease runs out. It is a big worry to the Uncertainty to it all. Rie

All new claims have been on PIP since the summer

. Existing claims where circumstances change in some way will migrate to PIP but only in the following regions according to the BBC news website: Wales, East and West Midlands and East Anglia.

The timescale for full national rollout where there is a change in circumstances is not yet confirmed, presumably won't be until the issues with assessment delays are resolved

Hi Ords, I have read that all DLA awards for life are now all under review with PiP the only exceptions are under 18 and over 64.Mattcass

I'm pretty certain that new claims are being assessed under PiP but that it will be a while before existing indefinite claims for DLA will be switched unless there is a change of circumstances. I think they were talking about 2015 as a date to start switching those over but it may be later than that with the delays in rollout.

When they reach DLA claimants with indefinite awards, they will be asked to claim again under the PiP assessment criterion. As I said, this may be a year or two for you but if you ask again on this site when the time comes, people here will be able to offer good advice and links to help you with filling in the form and flag up any changes you need to be aware of.

In the meantime, carry on as normal with the mobility car system.

I'm in the same position with my DLA and it won't effect us until at least 2015 from what has been said, and now it has been reported that the pip for DLA will be delayed even more, I wouldn't worry for a year or so just yet.

Fingers crossed the fools might just leave things as they are because there's so much trouble with the DWP now having the staff to cover the work and even they are thinking of striking for more money, I don't blame them lol. Just keep listening to the news and don't listen to lies from the coalition.

I'd love to know how to even get it in the first place, if I didn't have an overdraft facility on my bank account I would be hitching to hospital! xx
