Hi thanks for answering. I was told by my biological nurse that I had to get a certificate from a web site, I'm on embrel pen injections and am flying to Tenerife. Can't remember what she said as I was tired and sleepy when she rang! Also do you know if the injection hurts anyone else as it kills me!!

Contact your delivery company they will send you a letter to take and ask fir advice from the pharmacist at the delivery company. They will let you know how to pack and carry it. Mine is healthcare at home you could be the same.

Thank you. Yes I'm with the same company. I will ring them tom. What injection do you have? If you don't mind me asking.

Like you enbrel - the letter will tell you that its not to go in the hold nor through any xray unit. You will need a small cool.bag and ice block which you cover with tea towel so as not to get on the pen.

Does it hurt you when you inject?

Sometimes it stings but not all the time. Its quite common others have said the same as well. I take it this is what you are referring to. If you have any queries on it you can pm me if you want to.

I went to Canada in May and I asked health Care at Home and they sent me a letter to explain how we had to store the embrel pens for traveling, I had no problems with Customs, they didn't even try to check them or look at the letter. I am sure you will be fine. I wouldn't chance flying overseas without a letter from them. I also had a letter listing all my meds from my GP. Enjoy your holiday.

Look at the website for whichever airline you're flying with, and they'll tell you what you need. I travel with MTX, and have a certificate from Healthcare at Home as they're my supplier. With Enbrel you'll also need to keep it cool, but you can also look at enbrel.com for info on how to travel with it. Polly

Thank you. Are you onnembrel yourself?

You can buy Friobags which contain a gel which keeps things cool, it's activated by soaking it in water - it doesn't stay wet but the gel swells keeping things cool - my husband uses it for travelling with an insulin pen.

For flying you just need a letter from your GP saying that you need to take it with you - not that anyone ever questions my husband with his insulin pen!

Yes mine hurts but only for the time the injection takes, about 8 seconds. I also travel with enbrel, bought a mini porter from health care a home, comes with medical gel block which lasted me for airport time and a 10 hour flight and travel time,
