Hay fever

What does everyone else do with Hayfever and meds? I am on sulfasa, planquil and have been coming off leflunomide this week. Eyes are so itchy

I go to the GP for hay fever tablets, he then alters the script so that it cannot react with anything that I am taking.

Are you sure its hay fever? Sulfasalazine can cause a delayed hypersensitivity reaction.

I do have some minor allergy problems, that don't require antihistamines every day, or for long periods, and just take over the counter non-drowsy cetirizine (cheap supermarket stuff). Check with your GP to make sure it isn't going to interact with anything else though.

I have never had hay fever before, now my eyes stream all the time , Im sneezing too. I spoke tp the Pharmacist about it, he said he thought I was suffering with Hayfever, so he checked my meds, MTX, Hydroxy, Naproxen; that they wouldn't interact with the eye drops he suggested , so Im ok to go now. Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies. I have been given cetrezine for the Hayfever. Its def hayfever had it for years but never been on such a cocktail of ra drugs so thought better see doc this time. If only the side effects of all these ra drugs were 'stops other annoying things like Hayfever and toothache' lol I know random but one can wish. Have a good weekend x
