Hi hope your well, you should put the complete MTX packs in your suitcase to go in the hold, you will need a letter from your rheumy saying what they are, and why you have them. If your only taking hand luggage customs can stop you putting them in the plane but having the letter will save you from having to open them etc. I've taken my metojects to Asia the caribbean and europe, the letter was asked for by all 3 customs. Also ask for a prescription from your rheumy as if there was a prob whilst on your hols you will be able to get a replacement from local hospitals without too much trouble. Hope this helps have a fab holiday. I've had RA for 5 years and my job was a travel consultant hense the hols. I've retired now cos of the RA how much do I miss my job wll the perks lol. Tricia P xx

Your info was really good advice, I was told to keep my enbrel injections in a cooler bag as hand luggage and to still keep them in the cooler bag whilst in Canada. Do you know if there is a reason why they can't go into the fridge instead? Sue

Thank you that's helped a lot,its just we are moving to Canada in july and I want to take some over with me so I don't have to worry about get prescriptions over there straight away, and I was hoping to keep it in my hand luggage as I thought safer,..i do have app with my nurse and doctor next month so will get them to do me a letter also...;-)x

Wow moving to Canada sounds exciting! You could take a letter from your GP if that's easier to get hold of. I just keep my Metojects in a bag with the letter and as with Tricia P the letter was read by each security gate I came to when abroad last year. Tilda x

I was told not to put them in the hold luggage as too cold (and I very rarely take hold luggage anyway) so carry my syringes in hand luggage. I have a letter from healthcare at home about it, translated into different languages, and I've never had a problem getting through security. enjoy the move! Polly

I was told the same but havnt yet tried it out. Another bit of advice I was given was to contact the airline to see if they will accept healthcare letter or if they need something else.
