It's difficult when we associate reward with smoking. The challenge is to find something else that rewards you. And to ask ourselves why do I need a reward so often? I quit two years ago and used Champix pills prescribed by my doctor. This took the reward feeling out of the equation. I had to stop being near people who smoked. My big struggle is stopping food as a reward so I completely understand how tough this is. Good luck.

Quitting IS the reward. The whole enchilada, grand prize, lottery, sweepstakes etc...... I guess it takes about 10 minutes to smoke a square.....do something wonderful for you, or a friend for 10 minutes. Light a candle, and relax .....Take nice long deep breaths, and remember how much easier it is to breathe without squares. What is most important...You...or a lousy stinky cigarette? Another huge "reward"...... you , your breath, hair, and clothing will smell so much better. You're better than cigarettes. They don't deserve you.

Smoking is not a reward!! Just remember the cravings don't last forever, some good days and some bad ones, that's the way it works.. Eventually more good than bad, but stay on track cause if you start again full time you'll kick yourself and be back at square one. My experience is every new quit is one step closer to being smoke free.. keep going 👍

Smoking again seems like it will be a reward but if you do smoke believe me you'll be disappointed.Last year I quit for 42 days and when I cracked the cigarette I smoked did zero for me.I was expecting I huge relief but it just didn't happen, instead it was a real let down. Not the amazing feeling I was hoping for and then came the feeling that I was back on the merry-go-round.. Don't let your brain trick you into thinking smoking is the only thing that can make you feel better.Cravings don't last and using patches or gum really do help..Stay strong and don't let silly things like cigarettes control you.. Good luck and keep the faith, one day at a time..
