How to keep busy and not get bored

We were away at a cottage last week. I was wishing that I had brought along more than books. I found myself getting bored in the afternoon and thinking about how I would just sit outside and smoke, like other years. But after the first two days it passed. I was happy that no one around us smoked. I should have brought my laptop and cards with me, lesson learned. If you are planning to be away make sure you take things to keep you busy. At home you can find things to do or go for walks.
