Cheltenham in march is the most amazing time i go down on the monday evening stay in the same hotel every year go to the four days of the festival and come home on the saturday 😊 have been to vegas twice and chelts in march is better . The smoking today has been pretty hard tbh 😔 cant wait to go to bed tbh so i have done a day 😳

Great idea to go to bed, I had many an early night in the first few weeks of my journey - it works wonders - the first 3 days are tough physically but after that the nicotine should be out of your system and then the mental battle starts as your body and mind begin the gradual process of rewiring, repairing and rewiring.

Drink loads and loads of water, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and for the short term and things settle down avoid caffeine, alcohol and sugary foods as these intensify and bring on pretty severe cravings. Stay close to us and read up as much as you can here and elsewhere - knowledge is power!

Stay strong Lucky and just take it hour by hour, even minute by minute if needs be, put on your favourite music, watch a comedy movie, keep the mind occupied.

Seen on social media that Robbie Williams is giving up smoking too, think he is 1 week down and posted a video of his bumper adult colouring book to keep his hands busy when cravings hit! Jigsaws too are good to keep the mind busy if you have the patience for it.

You are doing great :)
