Sorry for the double post in one day... im still not smoking which is great and irs not an option but i feel awful. The heartburn all day with a tight throat and thumping headache on the left side of my head πŸ˜” it feels like a migraine (which i do suffer from, from time to time). I took a lozenge and it eased the pain so im putting the headache down to nicotene withdrawal!!! Is there anyone else who suffers migraines and made worse from withdrawal? What has helped? I posted on day 15 that i felt really good and ive been laying in bed all day feeling poop and sorry for myself again. I am happy to not be smoking though

Definitely have had plenty of the tightness in the throat and headaches. I really believe it’s all withdrawal. Funny how are body reacts to quitting. What I did was drank a sugar soft drink. It seemed the sugar helped. Not 100% but a lot. The good thing was it didn’t last but a day or so. πŸ™‚

Its good to know someone else has had the same feeling... ive felt awful today!! I have been thinking about smoking today aswell an the thought on inhaling the stuff made me feel nauseas...πŸ˜” at the same time im still battling in my head so its all just been very confusing and exhausting once again. I know i dont want to smoke though. Luckily its my normal days off work so i have been able to stay in bed all day and will do tomorrow aswell. Hopfully il be feeling a bit better then... or tomorrow fingers crossed.

Hey Sarah_star - headaches could be a withdrawal symptom. It may also be caused by various things too - are you using both lozenges and ecig? If so, may be overdosing in nicotine, if not, and up and down on a daily basis with the amount of nicotine you are taking will contribute to withdrawals as your mind and body don't know whats happening. Your priority is not to smoke and you do whatever it takes not to do this, but try to set out a gradual decrease in the amount of nicotine you are getting and keep a balance on it if that makes sense.

Also, if you suffer from headaches/migraine, make sure you avoid caffeine and foods high in sugar. Drink loads and loads of water, lots of fresh fruit and veg and a bit of a walk to clear the head every day if possible. I promise, things will get better. Wishing you continued strength :)

Hi RoisinO1 i have been using both but the ecig has 0% nicotene and i had only had 1 lozenge that morning so i think it was the lack of nicotene making me feel so rough. Its funny because ive woke up today and been running around doing things all morning an not feeling too bad... not 100% but ALLOT better than bed ridden yesterday. Its strange. Still going strong 😊 happy to say its 3 weeks tomorrow!! Yay

Glad things are better today Sarah_star - as you decrease the nicotine intake and eventually have none, the nicotine withdrawals will be intense - they say it takes 3 days for nicotine to leave your system and then the mental battle begins as your mind and body begin to rewire, repair and recover. 3 weeks is great and you are fighting hard. Below is another pinned post to be aware off as 'the icky threes' or 'the blahs' worth a read if not already done so:

Seriously well done Sarah_star on overcoming your first night drinking and not smoking so early on in your journey. So many here failed at this. Huge achievement, keep up the great work :)

Thanks RoisinO1 😊 seriously..? I dont know myself how i managed it!!! I have found this impossible in the past and always gave in after a drink.
