9 weeks and a question, please!

Hello! 9 weeks tomorrow without smoking, after 40 years of smoking...

It hasn't been as horrible as I imagined, after all, but these last days I've been on vacation in a beautiful spot I go every year (an island in the south of Portugal) and it hit me very hard: I wanted to smoke desperately. But I didn't!

I still can't write (it is as if all my energies are directed into no smoking and my creativity has disappeared...).

A QUESTION, PLEASE: I've been having a lot of throat clearing and in this last week it is as if my throat was itching and I need to cough a lot. Can it be from the Nicorette?

Thank you so much for answering! And for being there!!!!

Could be from Nicolette but more than likely the nicotine is being expelled from your body.

Hey anaamaral - I previously replied to this post shortly after you but must not of went through - the clearing of the throat is normal recovery and repairing symptom as your lungs and cilia(hairs) in the throat re-grow, you may also start coughing up mucus (tar) which can be frightening to see but take it as a good sign your lungs is clearing out. I took a tablespoon of raw honey every morning and night to assist with the clearing out.

With regards the nicorette, what form of it are you using?
