Well as ive said in many posts since quitting that I hate the smell of cigarettes now ... and you can smell them a mile away !

I can’t help myself by telling people not to smoke where they shouldn’t be ..

at work I get off the staff bus , signs everywhere ( it’s illegal to smoke in this area )

And it’s lined with smokers !!!

I hate it , I have to walk through it and it’s ranks .. I waft my hand in front of my fav sand say “ that stinks and you shouldn’t be smoking here “ !

People in work , who have been for a cigarette. They come back in the room and they absolutely stink of an old ashtray...

I remember when I smoked , I heard ex smokers are worse than non smokers .. well I see that is very true now as I cannot stand it .. weather it’s because I need to be away from it I don’t know 🙄 but I certainly don’t get a fix from smelling it as I’ve heard some do ..

I just hate the smell of it with a vengeance 😂

I too detest the smell of the cigarette smoke and can smell it a mile away.👃

There is a chain smoker 2 rows down from where I live and can smell every time he is out for one even if inside and have windows open. Unfortunately and sadly there will always be smokers and doing it in non smoking places, l done it all the time so can't be a hypocrite and complain but feel sorry for them as know how dreadful the hold nicotine addiction has over them. The positive though is smoking is getting more and more anti social.

Like alot in my smoke free journey so far, l have adjusted to smelling second hand smoke and so happy and grateful not to be that nicotine addict anymore 🚭😊

Rig ...Yes true ...but I feel guilty to think that I smelled like that for 38 years and how I must have annoyed non/ex smokers...

I made a vow never to confront a smoker or tell him/her that it is wrong to smoke...I never listened and just smoked more when confronted...I know people meant well but a smoker does not listen until his body tells him to stop...when he climb the two stairs on his front porch wheezing ..then he will not stop...

I would also love to say to someone , a total stranger “ Don’t you want to stop “ !

As I’m sure they do ..

We all know first hand on here how hard it is ...

I still think how fortunate I was to actually get Ill , as think I’d still be smoking otherwise !

It’s hard and feel like a lucky one now and also know how important it is to keep praising on here to others who are struggling as it is a bloody hard thing to get out your system but it does get easier ..it’s just getting over that barrier for which everyone’s is different....

I'm over a year without a smoke, and I am one that doesn't like the smell ON people, and it just makes me ill when I realize that is how I smelled for so SO many years. However, I don't really mind the smell if someone is smoking outdoors. I don't love it, but I also don't despise it. My father was an ex-smoker that thought he should share his thoughts with every smoker out there--myself included. Of course I wanted to quit, but his attitude didn't help me and some people he gave his opinion to....resented him. In light of that, I decided when I quit that I would not be THAT ex-smoker :) My father is long passed, and he'd be SO SO happy that I finally quit...but I did it on my terms not because someone thought they could embarrass me into it :)
