Sorry everyone but I ended up having a cigg, early this morn, I'm pretty gutted as I didn't even enjoy it, the thought was a lot more desirable than the smoke it's self! anyway I don't want to go into it to much or make to much of a big deal out of it cause let's face it what good is going to come of that, what I will say though is that things in my life aren't all that great at the moment I feel stressed on a daily basis and I honestly wonder what good is waiting round the corner if any for me :( again not trying to make excuses but I honestly feel to better your chances  you need to be in some sort of stable mind set for example not constantly worrying about day to day stuff to ultimately  give yourself a fighting chance with keeping smoke free otherwise your just putting to many eggs in your basket, which kinda summs me up, i wish to get myself into a better place in life so I can return sooner rather than later and give my full attention to giving up smoking for good, as at the moment there's to many things going on and it kinda feels like I'm setting myself up to fail, I hope you can all understand that, I also want to thank you all for being soooooo supportive it really does help! We're only human at the end of the day, I wish you all the best on all your quit journeys I really do and hope to return in near future ready to take on the nicodemon! Bye for now....nohassel

Well so sorry to be reading your post but thanks for posting., with not feeling great at this moment in time.

Having a smoke is neither here or there, (we've all done it)  indeed nothing to worry about, as you say you didn't even enjoy.

Please please keep posting if you can, and hoping your life is more settle soon.

Wishing you better times ahead.

It would be hypocritical of me to criticise! Don't worry about it, you have given it a shot and it hasn't worked but you have learned something (imagined, lovely quit- breaking cig is nothing like what you imagined it to be)

Next time you try it will be easier. Please hang around, keep posting and start another quit as soon you feel ready.

Best wishes mate.

Nohazzel....This is a few things I took from Sifu Anthony Korahais blog:

“’ Right now, there are too many negative emotions surrounding you: Guilt, shame, anger, worry, fear. Those emotions represent energy blockages. You need to start clearing those blockages BEFORE you try to quit smoking.

You’ve probably gotten to the point where you hardly enjoy smoking any more. You smoke because you’re addicted, because of the habit, because you would feel terrible if you didn’t smoke. Gone are the days when you truly enjoy smoking.

It is critical that you don’t feel guilty. Guilt just creates a negative loop. You feel bad, and then you want to smoke more, and then you feel worse, so you smoke more. You need to break the cycle, and the way to do that is by feeling good.”

So right now start to fix all the negatives and set a new quit date...Strongs !!

No-one is judging Nohassel. Pretty much all of us have been there before. I think of my past failed quits as being part of my quit journey where I learned important things that I hope will have helped me to make this the "big" one. You will try again and be stronger for this experience. Good luck

Hey Nohassel, sorry this quit has not worked out for you...

I am a firm believer that what you said and others above have said, you definitely need to be the right mindset to quit.

To give you hope and some inspiration, 4 years ago in June, I went through the worst time of my / our life with horrendous grief, from that day I became a seriously heavy smoker to deal with the pain of the loss.

Until my hubby gave up 2 years ago, I never would have contemplated quitting, I needed my crutch and I was not in the frame of mind to quit back then....

Then 17 September 2015, I suddenly seen the light and knew smoking was killing me and had to stop.   This light will come to you too....

Wishing you strength, get things sorted in your life but don't rush it, remember it is never too late to stop....

Quitting is a long process and you are still in it...please understand a child doesn't learn how to walk in one day, you don't learn a foreign language in one day and you won't stop smoking in one day. It's all part of the process.  You smoked one, ok, not good... So what?!  Get up and keep going...in one year it will make no difference if you smoked 1 cigarette or nor.

I'm 7 months and I had 5 blips didn't enjoy any and didn't actually smoke fully any of the cigarettes but couldn't stop myself from lighting it up...the frequency become less and less and it hasn't happened since November... You can beat it, stay strong... Go again,  again, again... 😀

You know there's a saying somewhere that a true failure is someone who doesn't ever try .... now might not be the right time for you but you tried , that in itself Is awesome. One day you will succeed .... best of luck xx
