That is to say, up this morning coffee in hand, and then realised I usually get up coffee, smoking, more coffee, more smoking.

As time grows closer to getting ready for work , the usual routine of trying to get rid of the smell of smoke of my body and breath, which may i ad takes a good half hour.

You see was a secret smoker,no more.

Any one else been a secret smoker?

Yep! I was. And I remember celebrating that exact thing, Tracey! It's great, not being stinky, isn't it?

(Also, who were we kidding? I now realise, having smelt other smokers, there's no way we could have successfully covered it up:/ Oh well, onwards and upwards!

I'm guilty and not one bit proud. Secret smoker in both pregnancies.

As far as anyone is concerned I was off the cigarettes when I was pregnant.... But I wasn't.

I wasn't smoking a huge amount but I kept it going all along because I could not stop.

I am already embarrassed enough, not one bit proud.

Very brave of you to say so mmaya. We all do daft things that we're not proud of and we can't turn back the clock...

My dad was a secret smoker. He was having a sly tab in the garden one day which he threw on the ground when he heard me coming out of the house. Saying as it was a lovely summer day I was barefoot, and I stood on his (still alight) cigarette. I howled the place down (I was only 9) and when my mam came out to see what was going on he got the lickings of a dog.

That's a great story

I was too! No-one knew I smoked at work - only my daughters, partner, mum and sister......it would mean lots of showers, I've still got a rash on my head where I would scrub my hair so much it hurt! I am sure I did smell horrible, but used to spray myself with perfume and chew lots of gum. Its lovely to be able to go into work and not worry about it .....although getting home afterwards which should be something to look forward to is a nightmare as the first thing I would do is have a cigarette and a glass of wine!
